Starts Thursday 1st February 2024 and goes to Thursday 11th April 2024.
MAY-JULY PROGRAM — ( registration before 13th March 2024 )
Starts Thursday 2nd May 2024 and goes to Thursday 4th July 2024.
From 10:00am to 12:30pm each Thursday throughout that period.
What is the Gullinyjas Project?
An Aboriginal Healing and empowerment program for Aboriginal women who are affected by the child protection and criminal justice systems. The Gullinyjas Project is run over 10 weeks, with a workshop every Tuesday. Some of the workshops in the Gullinyjas Project include sessions on: Alcohol & Other Drugs, Domestic Violence, Mental Health, Legal Advocacy, Cultural Identity and even a Pamper Day.
Each Thursday, agency or self referred AboriginaI women will come to Nelly’s Healing Centre at the Yallamunid Building – 145 Cleveland Street, Darlington and participate in this project developed by Nelly’s Healing Centre.
The Gullinyjas Project is the first of its kind, delivered by AboriginaI women for AboriginaI women, with many community and agency people joining Nelly’s Healing Aboriginal Corporation to co-facilitate the many educational and Healing workshops.
